Brittany dating holly hunter murphy romance
Determined to learn about her boyfriend's past relationships, talk show producer Stacy gets the names of his ex-lovers and interviews them, supposedly for an upcoming show.
But her plan begins to unravel when she befriends one of the women.
Stacy Holt (Brittany Murphy), an associate producer on a daytime talk show (syndicated out of Trenton, New Jersey), is convinced that her boyfriend Derek (Ron Livingston) is the right man for her, though he has an apparent phobia of commitment, and he's vague about his past relationships.
Taking the advice of colleague Barb (Holly Hunter), she looks at his Palm Tungsten C and its record of the names and numbers of three ex-girlfriends: a French supermodel (Josie Maran); a gynecologist (Rashida Jones); and a cook (Julianne Nicholson).
Recommended for fans of the players but don't expect the usual satisfying romcom fare.
Her plan starts to unravel, however, when she becomes friends with one of the women.
"Little Black Book" examines the foibles of one young woman (Murphy) who decides to "research" her significant other's prior romantic life as an adjunct to a TV reality talk show (think Jerry Springer) and learns some unexpected lessons in life in the process.
