An error occurred while updating dota 2 disk write error
I posted on the Steam forums and got 0 response so..
I figured to post here and hope for some better luck and ideas. I decided to re-download CS: GO just because my friends were asking me to re-download the game again.
The download went smoothly, finished in about 15 minutes give or take. I think 1-2 hours after or something around that time, I reopened Steam and had an update, so I updated and didn't think 2nd about it really.
Then closed Steam again after it finished doing all of that.
A little bit later, as I was about to sleep, I checked up Steam one more time, for friends etc and found that Dot A 2 had a patch. I figured this was a bit weird, so I tried to force the patch to go through and it then gave me the "An error has occurred while updating Dot A 2.
(Download Corrupt)" I kept trying to no avail, until I finally forced it through by doing the "Verify Integrity Game Cache" After doing it, it still was stuck on Queued but I forced it once or twice and the patch finished.
Often the easiest and fastest method to locate the cause of a fatal exception is to search for the error.
A fatal exception has occurred at xxxx:xxxxxxxx In the above example, the YZ represents the actual processor exception, this can range from 00 to 0F.
Playing games is fun and challenging, but it is irritating when blocked by errors.
If you are experience same error and don't know how to solve it, then you are at the right place where you can find multiple solutions to deal with the error.
I decided to test if the issue was on going and deleted Dot A 2 and attempted to re-download it.
It failed, being stuck on Queued, then "An error has occurred while updating Dot A 2.
